From what I remember, you must re-calculate for East position.
It's been a couple of years but I did run into the same problem and that is what I did.

Bart Black what do you mean
you must re-calculate for East position?

Iam trying to Scan in this Bird which
is not listed in this receiver.
Intelsat 3R @ 43.oW. but it keeps coming up as Intelsat 3R @ 43.oE

Could it be in the sofeware? I enter West and it keep showing up as East

Thanks and Merry Xmas

Go in Motor menu then with the satcalculator enter your position and you will have West option on new satellite.

plymouth what are you saying?
All my position settings are correct.
I have no problem with the existing satellites only now with this new one.

Do you own a Captive Works receiver?

Edit Satellite
Satellite Direction you have a choice one of the two......... EAST or WEST
When I chose West, East pops up
pick East, East pops up

What ever happen to RTAP & bruce l
those guys were good with CW?

Omar i have CW600 Premium with motorized dish.
When you add a new satellite you must set your position in motor menu because your receiver think that you are in europe by default.

Go in menu , System Setting then Usals Setup and enter your position in regard with Satcalculator.
Now you will be able to set West in Add satellite menu.

Cw does not have Satellite info file as for Viewsat but you can load the factory bin then the latest bin file.

Here is the factory bin:
