I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS! Thank you for taking the time to look at this thread. #1 I purchased this TV for my husband in Dec. 2004. The trouble started when there was too much "red contrast" showing with the picture for a couple of days. Next thing you know there was an awful order coming from the area the TV was at. We find out that there was a spark/"small" fire back there. My husband took it apart. I don't really think he knows whats going on with it. I have NO idea if its a gone'er or what to do with it.
THIS IS WHAT MY HUSBAND SAYS: "One of the fluid filled elements leaked out unto one of the projection boards and burned it up". Any idea what this means?
#2: How do you dust or maintain a TV? We might have to get another one and I have a friend that is looking at possibly selling one to us with payments over a period of time. I wouldn't know how to avoid this from happening again.
PLEASE HELP ME SAVE SOME MONEY ON THIS ISSUE? WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
