Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3856 Registered: Oct-06 | I noticed Most Recent ECMs by D#N on selective channels and only selective channels are digital drop outs They are shifting the operating frequency not the conditional access This also causes sudden signal drop outs I bet yo this is their way of notifying those selective customers to call for upgrades Or to replace those who lost their upgrade cards I have noticed the same with B#V last few days before final roll over Please confirm if yo notice anything here |

Silver Member Username: BernardmiPost Number: 300 Registered: Dec-07 | King D#N certainly does not fool around with frequency. This could well blow up the satellite transponders. They are not allowed to play with that guaranteed. They could fool around with the bit rate but certainly not the frequency. Unless they are trying to resolve an interference issue up in the sky on their own satellite. |
Silver Member Username: 3dgesCompton Post Number: 121 Registered: Feb-08 | I am having the same problems. On Echo 3 almost half my channels are not working with Viewsat Ultra, because of no quality. |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3858 Registered: Oct-06 | 13ANNED Thank yo for confirming I'm having fluctuating Quality on any N*2 Satellite DELTE SATELLITE AND RE-SCAN THE PROBLEM WILL GO AWAY If no other problems exist Plymouth Mainly SHO, ch, 320, 321 and higher Delete and re-scan seemed to work on VU-sat Outer Limit Of course they can't change operating frequency But the tuner frequency and or PID settings All past ECMs have been hardware adjustment settings rather Basic conditional access Mainly in the tuner and PIDs I'm 110% sure |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3859 Registered: Oct-06 | Outer Limit I think yo meant the symbol rate That's a possibility I know some pixelation appear but that's not bit rate They can't play with bit rate Bit rate is usually 5 to 7 Mbps for SD fixed rate up link or down link High Symbol rate allow them to fit more channels per TP but less stable Or Low symbol rate less channels per TP more stable They have been playing with PIDs in the past But I noticed tuner Freq changes slightly within the tuner capacity For example: Let's say TPx at 12224 Some times 12228 or 12220 is the tuner in MHz Enough to cause Q signal drop It could be also in the FEC values or combination in the above Freq, Symbol rate, FEC, Polarity Any of these 4 variables can cause Q signal drop These 4 quantities are within the analog tuner frequency parameters |
Silver Member Username: 3dgesCompton Post Number: 122 Registered: Feb-08 | Thanks King Tapeman. I deleted the satellite by doing a factory setting then rescanned another Sat and it worked. |
Gold Member Username: PlymouthCanada Post Number: 6506 Registered: Jan-08 | 13ANNED I have a Vs Ultra and all channel work fine on 61.5W King on Viewsat we have a auto Tp which we can select on or off. Which receiver you use for it? |
Silver Member Username: 3dgesCompton Post Number: 125 Registered: Feb-08 | The channels are working fine now but for some reason they wouldn't work when I scanned 61.5 so I scanned 10.11 instead and the 61.5 channels came and started working. |

Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3860 Registered: Oct-06 | Justforhaha When they start rolling to N*3 First the international Yo'll see the Greek channels roll over followed by the Polish channels, the Arabians etc. That's what I call selective groups They apply new hardware manually channel by channel The Arabian channels That's bad news for White hawk Sorry White Hawk The Arabian channels will drop before end of the year |
