trying that bin but it isn't working. that bin's date is older than yesterday's ecm, why should it be working? shouldn't there be a new one with today's date like the other pansats have??

When its the first time using the full emu bin you need to do a factory setting and rescan your sats.

Then wait at a channel for up to 30 min. , the message while waiting may be scrambled channel and channel info.

sure? did anyone else have to do this procedure? still don't understand why a bin older than the date of the ecm would work...

3500 with the latest emu bins did not need updates. those that had 400 series bins need to update to the emu bins.

Delete all channels and do a blind scan.

http://crazyfta*net/forums/showthread.php?t=4577 replace the * for .

is up and running

follow these instruction.

I don't understand why the status page has the 3500 listed as down on dn. This simply is not true if you are running the v302 file which is a full emu file. I have set too many to count up around here, most recently a brand new reciever last night. However, if you reciever is not new and untouched, The following is what I do with a 100% success rate.

I'm batting 100% doing the upgrade this way. Everything can be done with the SD card.

1. Do a factory reset with the file you have in the reciever now. Do not save channel list!

2. Load the LATEST factory Pansat file. Dated earlier this year.

3. Do three factory resets with the factory file! I don't care if you want to or not. Do it.

4. Reflash straight to the v302 file.

5. Setup your antenna settings.

6. Do a SAT. SCAN! Do not do a blind scan! Do not load channel list!

7. Set your timezone and user settings.

8. Renumber your locals.

9. Watch tv.

They want you to load the v302 or the latest bin - you will scan for channels after antenna setup.

when done - wait on a channel for up to 30 min. for picture - scrambled bad channel will be displayed while waitng.
