A new factory file is available from viewsat, you must load it .

Here is the way for updated your box:

Note you satellites settings, do a factory default, load the factory bin and the satellite info from viewsatusa.com then load the latest bin file then rescan all your satellites, you receiver will respond faster and without any freeze.

Ya don't need to upload a new factory fix..just need to upload the latest fix directly over the last fix..

When anybody has problems, it is best to start from base line - i.e. with factory file.

Loading the new factory bin is not necessary before Loading the latest bin. Only if you encounter problems with the new bin. As usual with any problem, do a hard reboot first.

The new factory file and satellite Info work fine without any freeze and channels lost.
I recommand it because many bug are fixed with it and the display is new.New Scan fonction is add.

In the latest bin file you dont have all fix as the latest factory bin.
The new satellite Info add many new satellite and correct all satellite names.

I hope you understand now why i recommand it.

I know Mr. Wizard

I recommand it for all Viewsat, but if someone not want do it, they can.

Note than the latest bin files is on my post and the problem will be resolved on my first post.

That is why the Haha post is useless.
Thanks

You do not need to load a factory file before updating a bin on viewsat. It is not necessary. Just load the new bin and you are good to go.

I have owned a ultra since they first came out, NEVER loaded a factory before a new bin and it has always been good to go.

This is unnecessary.

They more you fool with them when you don't need to, the more you are apt to run into problems.

Not with a viewsat, maybe a coolsplat or a pan crap, but not a viewsat. It;s not necessary.

If you own one nalin, tell me about your experience with it, if you have no experience with one, STFU.

bob: You came to this site about the same time as I did. If you have read the posts over this time you know about LK and her gang - Ryerson, PRFRMNJ, etc.
These people are back as justforhaha's, Mohamad obama, greg raf, Kingsville, and so on.
Their main aim is to occupy and overrun this site and direct people to come to their site. jusforhaha's aka LK is particularly obnoxious in being absolutely rude to newbies, insisting on whatever she says is right, plus being totally psychotic.

If you have a way of stopping these people please use it. In the meantime, i have to use whatever methods I have to try and remove these idiots.
If that is being useless, then let it be so. You do not have to read my posts.

Boy your stupid Nalin. You know you are the only useless poster here and are just jealous you lack the knowledge that good helpers here have. Why don't you do us all a favour and go back to whatever looney bin you came from and let the pro's take care of the newbie problems that you just make worse.Upload

If you will able to get over 20 satellites like me on Vs Ultra, maybe you can expect to have trouble before everybody.

So as for Haha aka LK you are useless in this forum.
Right!

I don't care how many sat you get, it dose't make any difference, I repeat:

You do not need to load a factory file before updating a bin on viewsat. It is not necessary. Just load the new bin and you are good to go.

I have owned a ultra since they first came out, NEVER loaded a factory before a new bin and it has always been good to go.

I have had Pansat 2500 clone - about 12-15 times needing b60 mainly for testing and experimenting to help others.
I have had Viewsat Ultra - about 30-40 times needing factory reload.
I have had Sonicview 4000 - about 6-8 times needing factory reload.
