I have a Sony Vega 50" flatscreen that is about 5 years old. Just recently, all of my non-HD channels are appearing high on the green/purple spectrum. The HD channels are fine. I have digital HD TV. Anyone know what might be causing this? Cheers
I am having the same problem. The cable company came out and said it is the HD tuner. They hooked it up with composite cables and it is working now. I would still like to find out for sure if that is the problem and would like to have it fixed if possible.
We resolved the problem - it was apparently a "firmware" upgrade that the cable company had to do. It was all done remotely over the phone (no tech had to come to the house) but I wasn't happy about the fact that the cable company didn't make some sort of announcement to customers that this had to be done to some TVs.
