Ok well I've psoetd quite a bit about Amazonas. Time for more questions.

I have the bird pointed, and it works with a Fortec that the guy helping me hook it up used. However, even wtih manually entering the keys I still get "No Audio" and "No Video" across the board except for the few FTA channels.

Any suggestions? Would it make a diff if the key location was changed? Currently its 08/09 and 88/89. Would renaming those to 00/01 or something of the sort possibly work?

Someone in South America has to post working keys
Keys will be different in S. America
Just like D#N and B#V would use different sets of keys
Keys are like password
Half generated by service provider
Other half generated by security provider and its algorithm

Come back and tell me if yo find a solution

White Hawk: Those arent the keys I had. THe ones I've been trying are:

D0 C9 5F AF DA 87 D7 7A B4 AE 59 20 77 03 BA 62

CF A8 50 07 4C C6 AA 97 F2 A2 DE FA 4F 22 72 17.

I was told that 00 changed last week.
The key for 01 is showing up on the fulluydu link that King pasted as "new" (the CF A8 one I pasted above). Unfortunately still the same thing though.

Is it possible that maybe using an older bin with the new keys might open it? Any input from anybody testing this bird using a VS?

As a side note, I put a Telmex card into the receiver (Conax) but it wouldnt work either. Receiver DID recognize the smartcard but tahts about it. I"d rather have the Nagra working though.

You do know that this sat has a spot beamed signal towards S.America..and you may not be within its footprint or may need larger dish (maybe even a 6 FT), depending on where you live...along with a current TF bin (don't know which receiver you have)..You haven't provided that info here in this thread..

also you know that the keys are a manual change (not an autoroll) and provider ID (PID) too must be changed to 7311 and saved..

Also I don't think You will NEVER get a working file for a Fortec receiver...there are no more Fortec files, except the OLD Fortec Lifetime Ultra (FLU) converted to Puff and B75 Pansat 2700, which is only coded for Dishnet and Bev..and NOT Telefonica TV

The true keys for Bev and Dn are not update

Autoroll work on those 2 providers, any sites have good keys for both provider.

Wait, Geee Wizz is the only one who will confirmed the good keys.

OK you are saying that Bell Express keys
of Fri. Sep 19, 2:45 PM CDT] are not updated.

You mean to tell us that Telefonica TV
is now using Bell's Express old Keys?

BTW can you post another site that list these Keys beside TVkeyz?

Dont play with word

If you check all Dn and Bev keys on tvkeyz and on your receiver, you will see that many keys are not update, but autoroll work fine and the keys for both providers can not be needed.

The keys as listed at TVkez.com are the same for
BEV ID 0901 and TelefA³nica TV (7311)
TVkeyz is currently showing the BEV (ID 0901)keys as dated Sept 19, and the same keys are shown under the Telefonica as dated October 1, 2008.
There may have been a change, not shown at Tvkeys, since the 1st October, 2008.

The following URL of yesterday's date tells us that there is new BIN out for original Pansat 2700, specifically for Telefonica.

Black hawk has a nasty habit of jumping in based on very little research or info.

At word wide site, I found the following:

TelefA´nica TV Digital Brasil & Amazonas (61.0A°W)

Telefonica's footprint is for southamerica only. No matter what you do you won't be able to watch this satellite.
The Amazonas satellite on Ku does not have a footprint for north america, only C band and there is nothing interesting.

If you want to watch Colombian channels for free the best way to do it legally is thru NSS806.
You need a 6' antenna, a C band circular LNB and a receiver of your choice.

I do agree with Plymouth and Nalin
Everyehere I check for 7311
They got this:
Telefonica TV (7311) [Last update: Wed. Oct. 1, 10:47 PM CDT]
86: 79 A9 8B CD A6 2B 74 EA F0 C8 85 46 53 31 14 49 New

http://www.unblockall.net

But I do agree with the Boss yor Fortec must be converted to Pansuck 2700 this could be the main reason why is not working
And it is true a manual key is going to be required no auto roll

I also think this is the same person who lives in Paraguay asked few times about Amazonas 61W therefore he won't need the 6 foot dish

Please state if yor receiver worked once before or not?
Cuz if they never worked yo may have to Puff yor Fortec like the Boss says

2 sites got 2 different sets of keys
We are not sure which one is right and which is wrong

Perhaps yo can tell us that
By trying both

But if neither work
Then yor receiver is not flashed correctly

I guess I shoudlve been more clear in the post. I was in the other post but anyways.

The receiver I have is a Viewsat Ultra, not Fortec. The guy that set my dish up used a Fortec, without autoroll as far as I know (or converted, no idea).

Mine is a VS Ultra with a new bin, hence the other post as to whether it would work with a different bin.

I'll try the keys above in a few minutes after I finish with this post.

I've tried using 58 A0 as key 1 and CF 08 as Key 2 but no go. I'll try the other combinations.

Also going back to the OP, the keys are showing as 08/09 and 88/89 is that correct or do I change that to something?

King: To answer your question, the receiver has never worked with Telefonica as I just brought it to SA a few weeks ago. However it worked fine on DN until the day I left North America.

Ok so far I"ve tried the following:
00: D0 C9 5F AF DA 87 D7 7A B4 AE 59 20 77 03 BA 62

01: CF A8 50 07 4C C6 AA 97 F2 A2 DE FA 4F 22 72 17.

00: 5A A0 0F CA CA 3B 55 CA 8E 35 31 0C 8D 06 BF 2A

01: CF A8 50 07 4C C6 AA 97 F2 A2 DE FA 4F 22 72 17

86: 79 A9 8B CD A6 2B 74 EA F0 C8 85 46 53 31 14 49 New
96: 01 38 B1 F3 37 FD 46 D6 8D F8 53 77 F9 EE 88 BC

00: 5A A0 0F CA CA 3B 55 CA 8E 35 31 0C 8D 06 BF 2A
01: DF 26 D8 A2 48 4A 64 7F 42 07 D5 EC 63 91 7A 7D New

So far none of those is working, I've tried 73 11 00 as well as 72 11 00.

So back to the other question, is it possible that an older bin might be needed for the keymapping or something?

As a side note: I've tried putting in a Telmex card (Conax) into the receiver, and that doesnt descramble the Telmex channels, not sure if thats normal (dont see Conax in the Code menu) or I need to do something else. The receiver DOES say "Smartcard inserted" when I put it in.

It is also possible that VS Ultra won't work cuz of the new provider ID
Yes it is possible an older bin may work
Or delete Provider 0106 Nagra then enter keys

This is what I'll do if that doesn't work:
- Try an old bin from September 2007
- Try these keys or all of them
dss-keys.com
Telefonica TV 7311 - Last Update: 10/03/08 08:47 pm

01: DF 26 D8 A2 48 4A 64 7F 42 07 D5 EC 63 91 7A 7D New

Also ask the guy who helped yo even if yo have to pay him
Ask him which set of key is working and ask him which bin he's using
Which bin can hold information that gives me more clues

Fortec, Pansat and Koolsat got completely different tuner parameters than VS and it is a possibility other receivers may work and not VS
Anything possible

But I'm very interested in this challenge
I would love to know the outcome of this

Any idea what bin to try? I'm thinking 070914?

On a side note, if I delete the 0106 keys, and then later on reset to factory and put in a new bin, would that readd 0106 or does it have to be manually added?

As far as the guy, he has no idea. His father (the one that actually does the satellite stuff) just pointed me to DSSR**kie to "get a new bin for Viewsat, that is the problem". Obviously thats not the reason it wont work though. They also dont know (or wont say) the bin they're using, and said "the new bins work for our receivers".

070914 sounds fine
Yo can try at least one bin from each from each month if that doesn't work
Trial and error can lead yo to final reward

Yo can delete a provider and later reload a recent bin to restore without load factory bin at anytime

No way your bud gets Telefonica TV with a Fortec receiver, living in the US or Canada , using a normal 18-24 inch dish...there is something missing BIG TIME in this whole thing!...and why's your bud so secretive if this is true...he has NO secrets to hide and no TF to watch based on the info you provided..

Justforhahas: I'm assuming you just read partial messages. I'll copy/paste for you.

"King: To answer your question, the receiver has never worked with Telefonica as I just brought it to SA a few weeks ago. However it worked fine on DN until the day I left North America."

I'm NOT in North America right now. I'm in SOUTH America, in Paraguay to be exact. I have a ONE Meter dish.

So, yes he's using TF with a Fortec receiver. The only missing link was you not reading the entire thing (my previous posts mentioned Paraguay as well). As for secretive, far as I remember his father said he is using a new bin, whcih is a problem since VS doesnt have a TF specific bin.

His receiver is a Fortec Mercury II, and yes it works in South America, I used it on my dish for 2 days before he took it back because he needed it.

Sounds like you have bits and pieces scattered throughout multiple threads...and NOT all the info in this one thread..

I still have no idea of the real deal cause its still scattered and not clear...how does a working (either Fortec or VS, still not sure which)that use to get Dishnet (DN) in NA have anything to do with getting TF in SA...and Fortec Mercury receivers have been basically dead for a long time (due to lack of file support) except for TRUE "in the clear" FTA unencrypted signals which only require the factory bin..

Maybe anup's asking a question. OR it could be that he has the dish pointed and 2 wires coming out? I know personally if a dish is pointed at 119, it can pick up DTV AND Dish because they're so close together (relatively speaking from Earth that is). From there it just depends on the receiver you're using

Guys,
I need know line by line what I should fill in a VS Ultra to get telefonica 7311. I saw many combinations showing as 86/96 00/01 lines... sometimes seems that should break in 4 eight digits blocks or 2 blocks with 16 instructions and much more.

Mr Plymouth. had success but did not told exactly what write in a VS.... like tell about the miracle but dont say the Saint name :-)

Nobody had success to catch it in BR using a a VS and only you have the required experience to bring us a light... so I need a example as below

00 fd df df df df df df df ff ff ff ff ff
01 fd df fd fd df df df df 00 00 00 00 00
?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??

how many lines I fill? what are the initial numbers? 86 96 01 00....
what is the version software? and the provid id related... is it 73 11 00?

tks for your attention

Rogerweb.... a friend from BR

King: I think you're right about it not being capable as of yet. I'm still in Paraguay for another couple of weeks, and still tryign but no luck.

Rogerweb: Please read the thread, I have a VS Ultra and have had no luck with Telefonica OTHER THAN the free channels.

That said, I've also put a Conax card into the box and it hasnt descrambled Telemex either but that is a different story.

If anybody has had success using VS and Amazonas feel free to chime in

Shadow: I'll repeat what I wrote to Rogerweb... "Please read the thread".

My message was FIRST a reply to KingTapeman.

THEN there was a reply to Rogerweb, hence the "King: " then an answer, followed by "Rogerweb: " then an answer.

Plymouth: Any other settings that I should know? I just tried that and am still getting "No video or audio". ALso I have to do a blind scan to get channels, normal scan wont show them all and whatever it does show I get chan #s in the 4000+ range.

The Chan names DO show up, and the Free channels are the only few that work.

I'll rescan to see if I have better luck but so far nothing.

What bin are you using? Can you send me a link? Or a CH file or anything that would help me copy the settings?

Thanks

Great Plymouth!!! Tks a lot for your information... I will try tomorrow.

Geee Wizz... I am a newbie here. I live in Sao Paulo and I am using a VS about 1 year. I learned by myself about many things but its hard... some guys in others forums dont know or dont want tell details about these things.
In Brazil we use a lot of FTA inside the country including analogic channels (Starone 2) recently nagra2 arrived by tel*phonik@ and the system is the same of dn and bev (echostar).
If you want know a little bit about here please ask me.

BTW tks a lot for your attention.

Obrigado (thank you)

Juan: Have you had any luck using those keys on VS or are they only working with CS, Pansat, SV and CW?

Rogerweb: Are there any transponders you can point to that work wtih VS? I'd be interested to try them, as I've said I have had no luck. Yes Nagra2 is the same type of encrypting as DN (E*) and B3V, but that doesnt mean the software for one will work on the other, and that is the issue I've been having.

Lets talk about betacryp... we have also the NTV http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/galaxy28_saku.html at 89º on Galaxy 28 the coverage seems only south america... Can in theory a VS see this system?

Plymouth, the c band is just to point the dish... a friendly calculator is http://www.satlex.us/en/azel_calc.html it export the results to excel.

Other question... did you have success using biss keys on VS?

Thanks Rogerweb

Amazonas is in the list of satellites on Viewsat and in the keys menu Telefonica is listed too.

My next dish will be a 4' but for get Amazonas from here i need 14'.

Plymouth: You're correct about Amazonas being in the list and Telefonica being in the keys menu. Thats the entire reason I brought my VS down instead of grabbing my uncle's old CS5000 that he's not using anymore.

However, being in the list and menu apparently does NOT mean that it'll work (as I've figured out firsthand). I have a 1m (3.3' approx) dish here, in Paraguay that I got locally just for that very purpose.

Thats been the whole point of this entire discussion. Then again VS also lists Conax channels, as well as SECA and ViAccess, doesnt mean you can watch those channels.

I guess what I'm saying is:
Listing the satellites and type of encryption doesnt mean that it can actually decrypt them, theres always more required.
Additionally, Viewsat doesnt by itself support ANYTHING. It is the bin you add to it. Load a factory bin and see if Charlie or B3v work on it, you'll be surprised to see that neither work.

Guys,

We really forward the entire problem here and apparently the conclusion is that we need a software to recompile entire system of VS.... this application should have all fields to be filled as EMM RSA and others.

the manufactures have no interest to get in to Latin America and seems that AZBOX is the only hope that we have.

Ku band complicated because their beams are focused to each country or continent.

C band is interesting because has no restriction on coverage and its the only way to get something overseas.

I really appreciate to all in this forum for the high level and objective explanations about VS.

Gracias hermanos!
Obrigado pessoal!
Thanks folks!

So it may be that I will be unable to get Telefonica channels from Amazonas using my Viewsat Ultra? I want to be able to receive Telefonica but I suppose I will need to get another FTA receiver. Are there other ones beside the AZBOX? Or is there a fix for the Viewsat Ultra?

BTW
This how to convert Hex to Text
http://www.string-functions.com/hex-string.aspx
Code decyphered:

D5= '
D9= U
A6=
77= w
96= --
ED= i
9C=
8A= S
71= q
7D= }
A6=
8F=
A6=
1E=
3D= =
66= f

I know it doesn't mean anything
But keys are words usually random
Often used like user's passwords
