Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3575 Registered: Oct-06 | All PVRs use USB to hard drive If yo own a PVR which I think is a great thing to have especially during ECMs or any other outage Yo can't edit yor own shows It sucks that yo can't cut out commercials cuz they forbid manufacturers to make such devices It basically kills advertisement business TIVO is always behind this Many times movies end but yor PVR continues to record It chews a lot of yor hard drive space There is a third party product called VideoReDo Plus It edits MPEG-2 So yo can transfer to DVD nice and easy http://www.videoredo.com If yo have any feedback on this product or similar one please feel free to share it here DO NOT POST SERIAL NUMBER I repeat Do not post serial numbers It's against forum policy |

To do this you have to transfer the movie or show over to the F side of the hard drive. If you dont you will not be able to access it on your windows pc. You will then be able to edit the recording from your computer using VideoReDo Plus. One other thing.. You CAN'T put the video back on your receiver PVR after you have done the editing. Your stuck watching it on your PC! |
