I have a Samsung DLP TV and just recently changed the Color Wheel which was making noise. The TV now doesn't make the noise anymore but the picture is not right. The color is off..what should be red is blue..the appearance of the picture is also off..somewhat blurry or mottled..
Purchased new lamp worked for a while...i was told that if image is there and is good even for a few minutes, that lamp and ballast are ok and move on to color wheel..
I have different combos of blinking lights. Nothing consistant...unit turns itslef off after it powers up. Sometimes the unit will work for a few hours. But mostly 20 to 30 minutes at a time. I must unplug unit for 15 minutes and re start.
No noise or sound from color wheel. If color wheel is bad, will the unit power itself off?
I realize that this is an old question but I have scanned the archives and can't find a solution or advice.
