I have a coverted 2500A. The thing wrong with it is that the quality is not constant. One second its 90 next second its 0 or 50 or less. I hooked up my reciver to my friends setellite and still had the same probleam(his is working fine). What shoud i do?

Suketubhai: With the receiver on, just press Menu on your remote.
Then go down to the last item called System and press OK there.
Write down what you see and post it here.

Suketu: You have the correct BIN installed.
1. First check that your DiseqC setting is on 1.0 and not on 1.1. You can find this on Menu/Dish Setup/ antenna
2. Next, delete all channels in the sat you are going to scan and ignore the quality etc., and do a rescan - Blind Scan.
3. Do it on all the Sats you are going to scan, making sure that you have the right settings in the antenna setup. If you like you can post all your sat settings.
4. If not successful, you may download the BIN from another source or download one of the other BINs, unzip and install the BIN. If you do this, make sure you preserve a record of your settings. You can get several PUFF_289 bins here:
