Is your dvd burning software set to be compatible with your DVD player? Be sure the region code from the software is compatible with the dvd player you have.

For instance, if your burning software is set to NTSC (Region 1 - US), but your dvd player will only play PAL then you will continue having problems.

See if you can set your burning software to be region free.

All burn software is region free. I'd guess the burn format isn't compatible with the player. The DVD standard is MPEG 2. I don't deal with camcorders and can't really give any more help.
