I'm about to buy the Hitachi 50V500. I went to a ABC warehousing in Michigan and offered 2700 to drive home with it right on the spot. The sales guy went to his manager and came back and told me the set was was mine for 2700 if I bought the 5 year warranty from ABC warehouse for $375.

Just want to know if anyone has issues with ABC warehouse warranty and service.

ask this questions
1. will it cover dead pixel?
2. will it cover the bulb if it breaks prematurely ( bulb is about $200-$350 )?
3.how many times will it break before they give you another new set and will it be at full price?
4.is the extended warranty transferrable just in case you sell it?
5. in case your 5 yrs. runs out and you never have a breakdown, will they give you back 100%, 50% of that extended warranty?

that set is the LCD rp. It should have
a 1 yr manu warr. dont get the extended warr.
Do you have a Costco in your area ? I heard
that they have a panny 60" for 3200 including
the stand. the same tv i bought for 4750 with
tax. Extended warr are basically paying for a
repair that you may never need. (within the
time-frame of the warr) 50" tv is only a 40"
in 4:3 viewing. plus your tv will shrink no
matter what size you get.

yes it is the 60" and now I'm planning to get one for my wife bec of the price drop but I also considering again the 60XBR bec. I did have this 70" w/c look good on analog cable but swap it bec. of the dead pixel that started to spread all over the screen.
