This has been asked before and while it has been highly debated, you can not split the signal and expect to operate both receivers flawlessly...

plymouth i suggested the dp 34 because its a lot easier and gives you the future option to add more receiver.

I know but this guy talk for only 2 receivers, he can keep his 2 lines for the futur and use a Dp 34 and add more receivers like you say.
Good comment

BTW us i add this weekend a new dish and motor for my wife, bcause i want test with my best system.
Next step, a 1.2 meter with motor and this LNB King suggest to me:

Best solution
One LNB only, no switch and one incoming line, change LNB to a two output LNB for two receivers.
Two LNBs only, one switch and one incoming line, change two LNBs to two output LNBs for two receivers and add another switch.

Anything more complex than above, play with different multiswitches.

Easier solution is a motor but very hard to aligned for newbies.
The only problem is: work for 1 receiver at time when if they want use on 2 different satellites.

Plymouth: A splitter solution and Motor solution are identical in term of the severe restriction of viewing the same channel at two locations.
Once we accept that the person would benefit by having the ability to view different channels at each receiver location, the alternative approaches which satisfy this need are the ones to be promoted.

If yo have a dual LNB yo don't need to split signal

B- ut if yo must split signal
- Yo need a high frequency splitter (from e-bay)2000MHz splitter
- It won't give yo the flexibility to independently control both receivers at same time
- Yo must turn off one receiver while using the other when splitter is used
- 900MHz radio shack splitter won't work

DP34 won't work on a single LNB
No switch will change a single LNB to dual lnb

You cannot "split" 1 line into 2 receivers, just as PRFRMNJ stated..

You need a DUAL lnb and 1 line to each receiver, and a disque switch if more than 1 LNB is used.

Hahahah Lk
PRFRMNJ stated nothing, just say the debate is made.
I stated it here

From one line No, minimum 2 lines, i line on each receiver(dual LNB)or as RTAP say with a dp34 if you want use 3 or 4 receivers

Read correct info.

I disagree
Answer is YES Yo can split the signal
But yo cant't control both recevers at same time

- Yo can watch channels on same TP on two receivers
- Yo can also watch a reciver while turning off the other
- This maybe helpful if yo want to watch something down stairs or up stairs but not at same time

So if yo tell someone yo can't split a signal
Technically yor Wrong
Cuz yo can split the signal

What i have right now
61.5 with Quad LNB to 4 Receivers port 3
119 with Quad LNB to 4 receivers port 2
110 With Quad LNB to 4 Receivers port 1
91 with Dual LNB to 2 Receivers port 4
28 with Dual LNB to 2 receivers port 4
82 with 22khz switch to one of the 4 Receiver.
so one receiver has 5 sat.
all others have the rest sats

I wanted to run another receiver with the same set up. thats why i asked this question, so that i don't have to put another sat.
I have Nfusion-Kbox-sonicview sv 360 premier-viewsat ultra
wanted to buy captive works 800.
thank you king and plymouth very much.

King,

Read my post - that is exactly what I said. "You can not split the signal and expect to operate both receivers flawlessly". Maybe it's my English! LMAO...

You disagree with my wording yet agree with what I said. Too Funny!

Bottom line is, you can split the signal, but it won't operate the way it's supposed to. You can also go with a dual output which can also be modified by using a zinwell 3x4 switch to make it a quad output, but you need to run independent lines to each receiver!

What is wrong with this picture. I must have forgotten how to write in english or maybe I'm confusing people. The only person who understood what I said was justforhaha's.

Maybe I've been doing this for to long and take for granted that people will actually read and understand what I say!

We are all right, it depend what you want to do with with the new receiver.
King give a limited option.
I just give more detail on installation.
RTAP option is good too.
Again a debat on switch as you do mention in your first post.
Personnaly i suggest the Sadoun solution, cause they have great installation experience.
Dont be worry with it.

I check all different way for your installation for the price of all new switch, why dont buy a 36" dish with motor HH-120 and a Invacom QPH-031 tap on your Viewsat Ultra and get All these sat and GC and many others, with it you can add a new receiver and keep your system without change nothing.
