ive had a sonicview 8000 for over a year. never had a problem with it once until the 402/403 bins came out.

after a factory reset and factory bin, i can put in an old file like 261 and i get all my sats, 82-110-119 and 129 with good signal and strength. i even get the EPG, but the screen just says "scramble channel"

then i update to the 403 and i lose all quality on my sats and the screen says "no signal"

is this 403 any good? some say it works just fine but i cant understand why it wont for me.

Recheck your dish antenna settings after your 403 upload and then do a reboot.

What this means an older bin had an operating frequency on provider first stream or second stream

Don't go crazy

Yor settings were right
Yor antenna pointing was right too
Yo asked for explanation
And that's what this is

From time to time older bins work on new ECMs in second stream

To correct:
- Load latest bin
- Do factory default
- Rescan one sat at a time

lmao @ king, some reading and thought is required when giving recomendations. no quality signal = no scan

whenever a new file is uploaded, the receiver will sometimes lose the correct settings that were previously input, so recheck them again and do a reboot.

sada haji, Mind your own business, cause you lack intelligence and common sense.

I have no problems with king at all. I think his response wasn't thought out before he posted, but he's got twice the brains that you wish you had.

Obviously yo know nothing
I know exactly what he did and it's not his settings
Maybe yo should be careful on what yo say

Cayote
Yo wanna correct the problem yo follow my instructions

To correct this issue:
I'm assuming yo know how to assign ports and LNBs
- Load v-403 once again
- Do factory default
- Rescan one sat at a time
- Yor channels will populate

If yo don't know how to assign ports and LNBs then write down each antenna settings cuz factory default will reset it

Factory default is what yo need based on info yo provided NO BLIND SCAN

same thing
Factory default has no effect on flashed bins
His issue is due to freq disorder cuz of blind scan even if he didn't say it

If you don't have the correct receiver antenna settings, you'll never get TV, no matter what else you do. its a very simple task to go into the receiver and check them. Why do you people argue and discourage people from doing simple checks of their settings, which is usually 90% of people's problems. You people are too funny. That wannabee list is getting longer by the day.

It's not LK
LK is much more experienced

Wile Cayote says as soon as he loaded bin 403, no signal
Has absolutely nothing to do with settings

He can get signal and strength with older bins
But he can't get it to disscramble using old bin
To me it means he had correct settings

He only had problem with newer bins like 402 and 403
READ HIS FIRST POST AS MANY AS YO WANT
At the end is a matter of experience
Experinced techs pay a lot more attention to details

Wile Cayote
Take it from an experienced Engineer
Yo either did blind scan or somehow yo were locked to the second stream
What yo need is:

- Do factory default
- Load v-403 once again
- Avoid blind scan
- Do sat scan or TP scan one sat at a time
- Yor channels will populate
