It depends what's wrong, and what's the damage One of the pins can be cracked or gotten little dirty Try to find someone knows electronics to look under the microscope to check for possible crack and maybe solder repair
Yo may have to break plastic case Don't do it yorself Find someone with excellent electronics skills
Also try to read it on a MAC I was able to read many poor memory sticks on my G5 Mac
