- Create a new Sat and rename it Anik F3 (118W)
- Add New TP
- Edit TP f= 11715 s/r= 20000 pol= V FEC=auto
- Do antenna setup select TP= 11715 LNB freq= 10600
- Blind scan

Basically this posts first TP
Blind scan can update all new ones
If yo have any problems just add one TP one at a time with TP scan

They are 2 seperate satellites
They can be done on one sat if yo add required TP
Better to be done as 2
I don't have Anik F3 but if I wanted to add it this is how I will do it
Depending on yor receiver and settings
Blind scan can seep both in one scan
Delete what yo don't use

Sidhu:
You must get a LNB called CB2008A or a circular LNB that is specific for Anik 3
Do 118.7 scan first using
LNB Freq 10750 or down to 9750 - follow instructions of your LNB manufacturer.
The LNB type is to be set to either circular or Universal.
In the TP list either you add all the TPs listed in Lyngsat under Anik 3 or just the first one which is 11715 V.
Make sure th eport number is the same as that for 119W.
Do a Blind Scan.
The change the LNB freq to 11250, LNB type to Standard and first TP to 12224 or 1239.
do a Blind Scan.
You can separate the issues by creating a separate slate for 118.7 identical to the 119W slate except for the LNB freq, first TP etc described above.

Go in menu
installation
Channel scan
down arrow 2 times and enter in edit Tp
with digit button on remote put 11715 and enter

But LNB hight need to be on 10750
and LNB low need to be 9750

If you do a blind scan you dont need to enter a Tp in channels scan, this Tp is only for be sure you are on good sat

Nalin is Right

I forgot to ask yo

If yo don't have an LNB for 118/119 it won't work

LNB called CB2008A or a circular LNB

that is specific for Anik 3

Do it without SW42

Straight cable to receiver at first

Make sure yo have that LNB first
Then follow my instructions
Then it will work

Sidhu buy a 30" dish it's easy to presumed he buy a CB2008A with it, he say 118.7 and 119 on his first post.

If he created a new Sat with Anik F3 that will not work because receiver not recognized Dn encrypting, he must use Echostar 9 119.0 on VS Ultra.

Here is correct setup as i say for Echostar 119.0W

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

Using a 30-inch or larger dish, aim with the following settings:

* Satellite Name: 118°W (Anik F3) or 119°W (Echo7)
* LNB Type: Standard (or Single)
* LO Frequency: 10750 or 10600 MHz

Finally, do an AUTO SCAN or a BLIND SCAN

For some the following settings may work better or give you more channels:

* LNB Type: Universal
* LO Frequency: 9750 MHz
* HI Frequency: 11250 MHz

From this site:

http://transatelectronics.com/store/118%C2%B0-circular-10750-dual-lnb_P272?gclid =CND62Pn6hZUCFQE0xgodnBiKcw

I recommand to use * LNB Type: Universal
* LO Frequency: 9750 MHz
* HI Frequency: 11250 MHz
and do a blind scan

CB2008A
This is the LNB for the new 118W (Anik F3 / 118.7W / 118.8W) satellite. With this special LNB, you can get BOTH 118 and 119 at the same time!

Works with both Free-to-Air and Original DN Receivers!
Requires: 30-inch or larger dish. 20' oval may work but is unreliable and YOU WILL MISS some channels.
Compatible with DirecTV, Free-to-Air (DiSEqC, 22KHz), and
legacy switches (SW21, SW44, etc)
Not compatible with DishPro switches and/or DishPro (stacked) LNB's

SPECS

Polarization: Circular
Input Frequency: 11.70 - 12.75 GHz
LO Frequency: 10.750 GHz
Noise: 0.5 dB

Dual-output (ready for 1 or 2 receivers). Each output will give you both 118.7W and 119W.

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
Using a 30-inch or larger dish, aim with the following settings:

Satellite Name: 118A°W (Anik F3) or 119A°W (Echo7)
LNB Type: Standard (or Single)
LO Frequency: 10750 or 10600 MHz
Finally, do an AUTO SCAN or a BLIND SCAN

For some the following settings may work better or give you more channels:

LNB Type: Universal
LO Frequency: 9750 MHz
HI Frequency: 11750 MHz

ALTERNATIVE SETUP
The lnb is good for 118.7, but may not receive all channels/transponders for 119 as the highest frequency of the LNB is 12.2 GHz. The normal 119 LNB goes up to 12.70 GHz. According to lyngsat (http://www.lyngsat*com/packages/dish119.html) the highest transponder frequency in use now is 12.516GHz.

You may get around this by doing two scans. One with LNB frequency set at 10750 or even lower and then another scan with LNB frequency set at 11250. alternatively scan each one of the missing transponders of Echo 9 separately using LNB frequency 11250.

WHERE TO BUY: You can try ebay , search for Superdish type1 to 500+ repoint kit -part 148328. This contain the LNBs to retrofit the Superdish. If you have a 33" dish (other than Superdish) you can get the CB2008A lnb which will get 118.7 and 119. CB2008A is available at ebay and many other online stores. this is one of the hottest items on the market, so please do not ask '" just Google for it and you will find it.

MECHANICAL CONSIDERATIONS: CB2008A cannot directly replace the 119 LNB on the Superdish. Superdish lnb for 119 has a special bracket. If you are good mechanically ,you could probably figure a way to mount it on the Superdish; - it is not impossible. Iit requires a rectangular mount similar to those of DTV. The mount for Dish LNB have one side that is semicircular.
If you have a Superdish the best bet it to get the Superdish type1 toDish 500+ repoint kit part#148328.

Hey bro
Did yo read the part where yo need a special LNB for 118/119 (CB2008A)?

Do yo have a liner LNB or what?
Are yo correctly pointed dish to 119?

Yo need to answer questions instead of making us guess what yo got
I almost made a bet that yo don't have the right LNB

If yo do have CB2008A and pointing to 119 then
Start scanning at 10600
It will take few mintues longer that's all

This LNB will work
I think I know what the problem is

Enter the next TP manually
Even if yo have to do one TP by one TP

Try this:
Add TP
freq= 12002, s/r= 20000, Pol= H FEC=auto
Do TP scan, not blind scan
See if that improves anything

Yo can also try other TPs like:
freq= 11959, s/r= 20000, Pol= V FEC=auto
freq= 12033, s/r= 20000, Pol= H FEC=auto
freq= 12142, s/r= 20000, Pol= V FEC=auto

ETC.

As far as I know 118 will get yo all International channels offered by DN

Very important if yo add another TP like 12002
freq= 12002, s/r= 20000, Pol= H FEC=auto
If that doesn't work yo must do factory default like Plymouth say
And manually enter TP 17175 once again
Step and repeat one TP at a time
All International channels will populate

I have a question for u guys and ladies. Why do u need a special lnb (CB2008A) for 118? Why can't any circular lnb, like Invacom QPH-031 work? This LNB is both circular & Linear

I have this LNB with 33"dish and motor.

The problem with invacom LNB is, duplicated channels on 118.7 and 119, the LNB get some Tp on each other.

But that work fine and you can get many Fta with it.

CB2008A is not perfectly circular but ovaloid, thats why it can get 2 sat with 1 degree off.

There is no such a thing called Circular or Linear LNB
Specs for LNB is measuered by frequency and gain
There is Circular polarity and Linear Polarity
Each has their own unique frequency
Usually KuHi is Circular 12.2 to 12.75GHz
KuLo is Linear 11.7 to 12.2GHz
Universal LNB can do both
However I have seen Universal LNBs with wrong specs

So not all brands can be trusted
Yo can get 118 with KuLo LNB or Invacom Quad polarity

Sidhu: Try and get this once for all into your head.
YOU NEED A SPECIAL LNB CALLED CB2008A OR SIMILAR.

So READ the markings on the LNB and post that info. Your settings are of secondary importance.

I suggest to everybody else to stop posting here till he gives that info.

I forgot to say that if you dont have a motor you cant get all channels, if you point on 119, you not get all channels on 118.7 and if you point on 118.7 you not get all channels on 119.

Buy a motor for better result, you will not regret
