Having trouble getting quality on both Echo 8.10 and Echo 7

I have a Dish network Dp plus satellite with twin lnb. My reciever is a pansat 3500 and I am trying to set it up with my rv. I have done this with the help of my wife with no problem in the past, so I know it all works properly. I am having trouble by myself though. I can get high quality and level for Echo 7 but only get high level with little quality on 8. Everything is plumb and level and pointing in the right directions I just can't seem to get anything to come through on Echo 8. I have checked a couple other satellites in the campgrounds and mine is set the same as theirs. Why can't I get both to work.

- Make sure yo got latest bin loaded
X-05BL_080802

List all yor settings I'll get yo up and runing in few seconds

Yo did provide important info
However I'm gonna give yo few tips on why level is low on a second Sat

In general what makes No or Low quality l
- Aiming adjusments
- Skew adjustments
- LNB selection in Ant Setup
- LNB freq selection

My wildest guess without knowing yor settings I would say yo need some LNB skew
A hint on skew:
Dish need to be turned clockwise or counter clockwise depending on yor Zip code whenever 2 LNBs are being used
Second Guess will be LNB frq/port assignment this part is easy

But if yo provide yor antenna settings
I will tell yo exactly what's wrong

lnb type - dishpro
lnb loc. - 11250
22khz - off
diseqc -1/2 for echo 8
legacy sw - none
skew / -45
PosSet-disable

I have downloaded that BIN. My skew on the sat. is at 121, elev.,32 az, 226. I have tried covering the lnbs and they are both registering something. its probably the skew but which way do I turn it and will that then affect the elevation? my zip is 48442. thanks for the fast response

AZ and Elev seem to be OK
What is yor TP Freq?

From behind dish
Yor skew angle is supposed to be 115°
http://satcalculator.freehostia.com
This means yo turn dish about 25° clockwise from behind dish

Please Note:
- TP freq is mainly what shows Q level
It becomes a factor for antenna setup only but not important for scan
- Adusting skew only if new installation or if dish moved
- I would try to change LNB option to OSCD or TwinLNB-2

will that then affect the elevation?
NO
The right elevation will put you in Clark's Belt. The tilt of the LNB is the circular rotation within the Belt, just like a steering wheel in your car.

Check the connections from the LNB to your switch.

The LNB should be pull back from the Dish
reflector.

WTF is wrong with yo tard
If he gets one bird his elevation is OK
It's his skew or antenna setup
And that bracket is not for DP+

WTF is connetion and switch got to do with this problem?
110/119 DP+ is one wire to rcvr
Gotta work on yor Englic and Physic
If yo wanna be electronic helper one day

I have another question for King, How can I tell the difference between a dp, dp+ and twin lnbs when it has no stickers or any kind of labels?.

DPP or DP+ is stackable polarity
It converts 13/18V dual polarity to one odd and even polarity but stacked to one 20V common polarity
Is like a dual LNB outlet but instead of runing 2-coax cables 1-coax can power a dual tuner receiver
It can be seperated using this Separator
The same 1-coax can also combine 110/119
And maybe splitted without sharing polarity
It uses 20V after stacking

DPP can also stack a third Sat 61.5 (option)
DP44 SW can perform same task of DPP

I don't pick on members or ever insult anyone
But White Hawk AKA Retard Yukon make comments on things he has absolutely no clue
I'm just trying to improve his electronics and his negative IQ
I don't give up on tards that easy
I bet yo didn't know that about DPP big boy
Now go google DPP if yo find any specs
