Hey all,

I just got back from a vacation to find on both my SV8000HD and CS7000PVR I have signal but 0 quality. I updated to the latest BINs for each, no help.

Since it's affecting both, I'm assuming it must be something in common, like the LNB or cable from the sat dish to the switch, ? My problem is my roof is really high up and I don't think I can get to it in rainy season myself to check things out.

I'm also in Costa Rica, and the guy/company who installed my dish three years ago have passed on (literally in the guy's case).

I'm hoping it might just be some huge clouds someplace blocking me out, but I doubt it as even in the hard rain a few channels like USA or MTV get at least a few quality points (even if not enough to see a clear picture).

My dish is 1.8m in diametre and aimed at 119W if it helps.

Any thoughts what I can do ?

I had the same problem a few days ago when there was some very heavy overcast. After the rain the quality came back up and I was back to watching TV. Good Luck!

It seems sunny and clear out here today but still no quality on any channel.

However, it might be some countries between me and the USA I suppose? Do you know if I should just check weather of Mexico, etc... heh

I'll give it another day or two but if not I'll have to assume something is wrong with my dish/connection I guess?

Keith Do a hard reboot and rescan all satellites.
If that dont work do a factory default and rescan

Plymouth,

I tried this:

- Factory Reset
- Hard Reboot
- Loaded factory BIN
- Hard Reboot
- Loaded new BIN
- Hard Reboot

Trying to scan but I end up with 0 channels found. Signal is there but quality is 0.

I am pretty sure my settings for 199W are correct also:

EchoStar 7
LNB: Single
LNB Freq. 11250
22Khz: Off
LNB Power: On
Transponder 12224

I've tried scrolling through other TPs but all are Quality 0 as well.

Oops above I meant 119W not 199W ;p

Signal is in the low 50s, which is the most I ever got for the past year or two.

So this means I have to climb my roof and try and re-position the dish?

What i don't get is with this exact signal level about 10 days ago (and before), quality was fine.

Check all cables and switch before realigned the dish.

Signal 50 it's very low, but if that work normally.
