hi guys can u please let me know what to do to bring back my fortec from blackout i have a fortec lifetime ultra cloned to a pansat 2500. after i downloaded the bin 269 i didn;t get any signal and the second day it blackout no power nothing is it over or i can still do anything to bring it back please let me know how.
jtag is a somewhat complicated process for a novice. It also entails cost of $30-60 and probability of failure. You could get a new Captiveworks for $70.

I Jtag 2 of my units after no-lights, with success . You need to get a cable ( I found mine on Ebay ), then follow the procedures and use various programs ( wall, etc ..) .
If you are NOT computer litterate, I agree that you should get a new unit.
