I have a good pansat box configured and works well.

Now I bought another box for my colleague.

Now disconnect my good pansat box and hook up the new pansat.

Now the New pansat has no LEVEL and Quality. I am having a hard time trying to get atleast one satellite working .
example - Echo 7 I tried to make it work - but it does not get any Level and Quality.

Once I re-coonect my good pansat evertying works well.

What is so different between the two boxes ?

Appreciate everyones answers.

Thanks
Ryan

Hadley..now write down the Antenna Setup from the working box than enter them in to the done working..

go to Menu..Installation..Antenna Setup..(Satellite)..write dowm LND TYPE..DISEQC PORT #..ECT...
After that do a blind scan if you haven't scan it yet..

Satellite : 7Ku
LNB :DISHPRO
: 11250
22KHZ : OFF
DISEQC : #1
Legacy SW : None
SKEW : 45
TP :[4]13368 H 20.00
Positoner Settting:DISABLE
Satelite Scan : ALL
Level : 82%
Quality : 91%

Above are the setting that are working with a pansat 3500SD connected to my DISH.

Now I am trying to configure a New Pansat 3500SD by connecting to my existnig DISH.

Copied the same above settings and saved the same. When I save the information the TP is restored back to [1] 12223 H 20.00

Then did a BLIND scan which resulted in zero transponders found.

Please help
Thanks
Hadley

Are us setting up your buds receiver at YOUR house?...if so, it should work if all is EXACT same in both receiver settings...and always do a REBOOT ..and tell us exactly what is wrong or message U receive..

if not your house, he may have different settings than U, cause he may have differnt LNB's, switch and ports configured at HIS house..U need to be consistent, detailed etc...all houses and configs are NOT the same!

also is the b80 boot in buds receiver?...when was last time it worked?...etc...whats it say in system info thru menu?

Hadley:

TP :[4]13368 H 20.00

That shows up on a prescanned receiver which you are viewing properly - a channel on TP 4

To scan you have to set the TP as
12239 H (TP 2 in Lyngsat listing)
Then do scan all.
Or you can do a Blind scan without changes.

In some non DN LNBs, you should set the TP to 12224 V and so a scan all to get a lot of locals.

In short,
1. A blind scan irrespective
2. A full scan with TP 12224 V or try
3. Afull scan with TP 12239 H on DN LNB.

Best of luck.

The above steps are all being done in the Same house, Same DISH.

The only thing that I can doubt is about the b80 boot file.

When I turn the pansat on it says b-80 and then goes to ON display.

Based on this I assume that B-80 file is already there.

To do the b-80 do I need the Null modem cable or SD card will do the job ?

Let me know what are my options here.
Thanks

Mistake corrected in my post.

In short,
1. A blind scan irrespective
2. A full scan with TP 12224 V or try
3. A full scan with TP 12239 H on DN LNB.

If this does not work, open th ehood and check if you have two bulging capacitors.
Pansat 3500 are notoroious for blown caps.

Bapu tamaru jawab saru che

Well I am still not trying to open the hood yet. Hope I can do without opening the Hood.

Just in case I open the hood - find the same - what's my next step - Is that also documented somewhere ? - Is that also DIY ?

I just opened the hood and looked inside.

Just behind the SD card slot - there is only one capacitor - It does not look bulging or burnt.

Behind the Menu buttons there about 3 to 4 BLUE colored capacitors that don't look like brunt or bulged. They are in general a little fatter compared the one I mentioned before.

If you have any pictures or documentation on how to they look like that would be great.

Let me know.
Thanks

Hadley,

Try to change LNB type to Standard, use Satelite} Echo 8,6 and do a blind scan. Be sure that DISEQ # is same like on your working reciever.

There are two (2) sets of Factory Files
for Pansat 3500S.
3500S/SD (b-70) and
3500S/SD (b-80)
You will need to load the right Factory Bins on both Receivers.

the best advice in your spot is simple pansat 3500s can send the file from one to next including settings. or you can just write down settings for working pansat then put on non working

So far there is no progress with all the answers submitted so far.

For the latest feedback :
I can set the keys only when I can get some transponders. I guess that is the default that you have mentioned.

Let me know if any other options exist.
Thanks

if you have gone from no level and quality to being able to get some transponders.

i believe your antenna settings need attention.
