anyone know of a high quality conversion software for converting DVD/VOD files into other formats? I have tried some sotware but nothing with very good quality

King I also have a ATI video card set up on an older Computer to record movies from the tv and a new windows media Computer also. But I am looking to convert all my DVD movies to a smaller file (AVI or DIVX) to store them on my USB 500 GB hard drive. i also want to know what is better AVI or DIVX or even MPEG?
Divx movies use the avi file format and best but RMVB format by Realmedia achieves same quallity at 300-400mb as avi's at 700mb and will play as you downloading. Popular in china where they are way ahead of us in the copyright infringement game.
Semore DIVX is more compatible with Car DVD and DVDplayer
DVDshrink and DVDdecrypt are exellent , i use it, and you can compressed without lost of quality, Good choice men.
