Thanks African, but what is the adaptor for? I mean the Sonicview SV-8000 HD alone wont work? The STB is about $400 and the adaptor is another $180, I'm just trying to cut down on cost and still get HD channels.
So the STB alone is not really HD? I wonder if all the others need accessories? I found a neusat HD, I think for $200 but I was reading that it almost has no support. How about the other brands?
HD receivers will receiver HD from BEV. To get DN HD you need 8PSK Adaptor. However, one or two of the latest models do come with an internal 8PSK Adaptor. You have to look at the specs or ask your dealer if the particular receiver has this item internal to it or is it to be bought separately.
