I just bought a new dvd recorder/vcr and it only has a digital coaxial input. My tv has an analog coaxial connection. I also have a dvr cable box and amplifier hooked up to everything. I need to figure out how to hook them all up together. The cable guy hooked up my old dvd/vcr (not a recorder) and he had the cable with 3 video plugs and two audio plugs hookup up with the dvd/vcr, but he hooked it up like a regular a/v cable. I don't know how or why, but it worked fine even though it wasn't hooked up correctly. My old dvd/vcr had analog coaxial cables as well as digital a/v connections which is why it worked out fine. I don't understand how to hook up this new recorder. Can anyone help me.

What model is your new DVD recorder?

I don't understand what you mean by digital coaxial input. There is no such thing.

New girl all new DVD recorder have not coaxial RF out.
If you want quality of components rca cable you needed to buy a new TV.

LK ignorant a digital RF input is for new digital signal.

The cable guy do it properly with TV set you have.
If you have a standart video in or S-video on your TVyou can connect it.
