The Sonicview 360 Premier is a dual tuner PVR with all the upgrades of the Elite and some features carried over from the Sonicview 8000HD.

Finally record a program while you watch another program!!

Usually yu are better off with two separate receivers to record one program and watch another. The background recording is a pain to set up and prone to lots of little mistake in practice..

So if i buy the 360 elite and an external hard drive, will i be able to record DISH and GC at the same time, while watching one of the previously recorded program on the hard drive?

I want to make sure I can record two different programs from two different dishes on a single hard drive concurrently and playback something recorded earlier at the same time.

you can recode 2 shows but you would not be-able to watch a 3rd show, you would need to watch one of them.

you can do this.. I want to make sure I can record two different programs from two different dishes on a single hard drive concurrently and playback something recorded earlier at the same time.

but you cant recode 2 shows and watch a 3rd. but it does allow for recoding off the TP and off the sat..

my friends do have the unit and we toy with it a lot we have not done that however we where told it would work fine but we have not done that.

if you would like i can have my friend test and let you know for 100% for sure if it can or cant.

from what i understand it can but could be wrong

viewsat vs pro been out for more then 6 months it can recode 2 shows same time but not cross other TPs.

the sonicview premier does not have dual tuner it only has 1 video tuner so none of that features we spoke of above. it can recode yes but 1 show not 2 like the elite. it also has 2 usb ports rater then 3 thats only change

sonicview premier is a mini pvr and low cost fta recevier.

Thank you James Lee! If i can do that, record two and watch something recorded earlier at the same time, then 360 elite is doing everything they are claiming to be:-)
If your friend can test it for 5 minutes, i would really appreciate that James.

Thanks again.

I stand corrected James Lee..the Premier is a single tuner..and not a dual tuner, like the Elite...but BOTH are PVR's and multiple USB ports..

TY fo clearing that up..I haven't seen one yet, and have read many conflicting reports at various places, but I got this info right from the makers, so I appreciate your setting me straight and verifying this thru your buds receiver..
