ok i just purchased a Panasonic PT-L300U projector it is native 16:9 wide screen.
When i play DVD's which are 16:9 i still get black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. How do i get rid of em? The dvd menu's comes up full screen but the movie's dont.
I have set my DVD player to say its going to a 16:9 format TV in the dvd player setup menu, im using a component video cable from the dvd player to the projector.
The projector has several aspect ratios i can change to such as 16:9, 4:3, Zoom, 4:3 letterbox and 16:9 letter box. I have it set to 16:9
something i found was that even if i played a 4:3 format DVD i still get the bars on the top and bottom aswell as the ones i would expect on the left and right sides.
