DN Polarity Issue

Looking for someone's help here.

I got a VS Platinum and dish 61.5 only. Was getting all the channels until last week when my dish fell off.

DN people showed up and reinstall dish (I have subscription to two channels). Now I am having a problem with my FTA.

Although I am getting two subscribed channels on my DN receiver (both with horizontal polarity), all my horizontal polarity channels (zero quality, searching signal) are gone on my FTA. I am still getting vertical polarity channels though.

Experts, any idea how can I fix this?

Thanks in advance!

I guess setting means info from 'setup' page:

Satellite: EchoStar 3 61.5W
LNB Power: On
LNB Type: Standard
LNB Freq: 11250
22KHz: Off
TP Freq: 12297
DiSEqC 1.0: None
Motor: Off
Legacy SW: None

Thnx.

Since U subscribe...call em back....U should have more than ONLY 2 sub channels...and I never heard of ANY DN sub package with ONLY 2 channels..somethings NOT right here...pick their brains when they come back...go up and watch em too..

and posting settings don't help unless u post the hardware and configuration..

BTW...DP LNB's are vertical only..

I did.

Still nothing.

Well, FYI, I don't have diseq installed as I just got one dish.

Anything else??

I tried one thing. I changed TP Freq to 12545 and the quality got to almost 95% but when I get out of the system and get back in, it goes back to the old TP Freq. Is there any way I can save the settings?

I have subscription to two channels only and I am getting them on my DN receiver (both with H polarity). I got no reason to call DN again as from their point of view there is nothing to fix. I am getting the two channels I am supposed to get.

I am a newbie here. What do u mean by hardware? I got a simple set up here. Just one dish pointing 61.5, no DiSEq, no switch, running one VS Platinum receiver.

I was wondering how my DN receiver can receive 'H' polarity signals and my VS can't.

Thnx.

If they replaced a legacy lnb with a DP lnb your horizonal tp,s can be found on a higher freq now vertical. Changing your lnb type to "osc-dp" and/or doing a blind V only scan or delete all transponders except 12224 (be sure you have quality on that freq first or it wont retreive the sat info)and let your box retrieve the rest of the tp info from sat in menu/installation/channelscan. If dish box is connected with DP switch or lnbs then 19v is constantly being fed causing fta unable to receive horizonal requiring 12v. So FTA must play along with the bandstacking game wich I believe is handled in lnb type settings or tweaking transponder list to match DP all vertical.

Same results bro...

I know for sure the guy used the same dish but I am not sure if he replaced the LNB?

When he asked me to start my DN receiver, he asked me to go to 'check switch' option and let the test run.

Don't know if this is important to mention..

Semore

Here are my settings where I get Signal 88 and quality 98. Should I do 'blind' scan here?

I guess setting means info from 'setup' page:

Satellite: EchoStar 3 61.5W
LNB Power: On
LNB Type: OSC-DP
LNB Freq: 11250
22KHz: Off
TP Freq: 12545
DiSEqC 1.0: None
Motor: Off
Legacy SW: None

Please advise.

Changing your lnb type as you did should correct the problem. Are you getting any quality on the lower feq. On my extreme in channel scan menu it has delete sat but really just deletes channels. You might try this first with a sat you dont use then delete channels. Then do a regular channel scan its much faster and blind scan doessnt retreive tp info as regular scan does. If that doesnt work blind scan V only if that doesnt work your dish is not alighned.
