My Pansat 2700 A (original) is showing no signal and some scrambelled channel with bin 250. I tried factory reset, factory flash and again bin 250 but nothing works. Could anyone please tell me what the problem is?

Thanks,

Sam

Reload the BIN, mine is working just fine.
Or try another 250 bin. I am testing AV 250.

Sam has a genuine Pansat 2700. P Gomes has a converted 2500-2700. Why are you mixing me the two in one thread?
Sam: You said "Factory flash". Did you reload B75 using loader 27.02 If so, did you use 27.03 to load the X-87 BL 250 BIN? Did you do User setup?

Thanks Nalin,
I used loader 27.01 for factory flash and 27.02 for 250. I did not do User setup and I don't know how to do it. Kindly help.

Thanks again,

Sam.

Is it saying "b-7-5" when you turn on?
About default setting or Factory setting, it is 5th on Menu. Use Setup is 4th on Menu. Put in date/time and disable the closed caption

Yes, it does say b-75 when I turn it on. I will try the rest of your suggesions and post my experience. BTW, using two different versions of loades for loading factory file and current file make a difference?

Thanks in advance

I have heard of the "two different versions of the loader". Right now it would be difficult to get into future-fta, but you could get the loader afresh from ftatalk or al7bar
I think you are experienced enough and should not be having these problems.

Ok, I used 27.02 loader for factory file and 250 bin. It solved the problem to some extent but still goes to scrambled channel/no signal after every few minutes.

my box has quantum 4700 DiSEqC 1.2 on the front of it. I bought it from this guy about 2 years ago. He hooked it all up. Everything was working fine until a couple of months ago, then all the PPV stopped working All I had to do was put the new keys in. I didn't know anything about the bins. Now nothing works on them. (I have 3 boxes) Can any give me step by step instructions on what to do Please.}

hi Nalin

i have a faviour to ask you.
could you have on forum for the converted fortec to pansat receivers so we can all open it and know all the updates, and we don't have to search the whole web site to find you.

2- when you post files on your public box, i find it hard to know which file i should load into the receiver because i find too many files and for someone like me who is not good in these stuff i find my self lost.
i know i am asking too much put please that will make life easy on us.
the other thing i have loaded CS_250T_Lightning_100t_Series_serial to my converted fortec and it gives me bad channle in the BEV i am not sure why.

There are at least 20 discussions on this subject in this forum in the last 2-3 months.

USB to serial:
1. Buy the adaptor with its own Driver Cd.
2. Override Microsoft and use CD during installation.
3. Make sure you set the COM port to 1, 2, 3 or 4.
4. Check via the Device Manager that you have correct setting.
5. In your Loader use the COM port you have set.
6. If you are not sure of the cable you have, have a DB9 M/F Null adaptor handy so you can use the cabling with it in or out.

USB to serial is easy with Window 98, more problemetical with XP and even worse with Vista.
There are couple of URLs in the previous discussions about getting specific drivers.

DN is down.
For Pansat 2700A/E, clones, and conversions, BINs 227, 232 abd 235 are said to be working.

For people who are using Conversions, you can get these BINs from
http://public.box.net/2500_full_kit
File: Old_227-232-235.zip
These old BINs are for Conversions only.
DO NOT use on genuine 2700 or on clone 2700
