is it possible to have one of the 4-way diseq switch ports not working e.g 1, 2 & 4 fully functional with 80% signal strength n' quality but nothing on #3.
e.g., 110 or 119 plugged into #3 shows 0% quality but if they are plugged to 1 , 2 or 4 the quality meter goes to 80-90%

you would connect 119 to port 1 110 to port 2 and others to port 3 and 4
how many satellites and lnbs are you on

Yes, it is possible a coil internal damage

But also possible yo have an LNB port conflict
List all your hardware and antenna settings, receiver etc.

hey african thats exactly how you told me how to check the switch...and it was bad no sig on one port..what makes that switch malfunction? I dont think i ever unplugged it with the receiver on, I have it out of the weather but not the cold(-25C) thks again for your help.

maybe king knows if cold affects the switch...this is my second one..or maybe a brand that is better quality

grub switches are known for giving trouble.just get 2 switches for backup always.
