All these FTA manufacturers are very clever. They know after a certain number of units sold, they won't be able to make money, so they introduce a new product line to make money. The delayed files are to discourage Pansat owners and force them to buy from newly introduced units.
Anyway, I think my pansat has paid off more than my expectations, I'm scrapping it now and going for sonicview this time, because Viewsat will have the same situation soon.....
Is Sonicview a good buy or should consider Captive Works or any other? Suggestions?
well whatever it is, i used pansat and upgraded to viewsat, but kept the pansat and now either both of them or one of them work before the other. doesnt matter as long as im watching tv. Im going to upgrade now to the higher up viewsats.
If it is true that Pansat doesn't want to produce new bins because they want you to buy their latest receiver, it looks like their plan is backfiring. Every post here says they will buy a different receiver and not a new pansat. That's why they lost me as a customer when the 2500 stopped being supported by them. People should buy new receivers because of features, not because they are forced to as it seems Pancrap is doing.
lol Funny to read all these comments! I wonder how many of you ever heard of what GM did to all the OnStar Customers on January 1 this year.. They ditched 500,000 people that had OnStar assuming they want to keep it they can buy a new GM Vehicle or they can do without (all because those 500,000 customers had a analog system in their vehicle and needed analog service to work, they didn't even offer an upgrade kit for even as much as $5,000 lol) Wonder what company is next? Pansat - not even giving us a warning maybe?
Well, I know this isn't going to EVER happen, but if everyone boycotted all of the receivers for a certain amount of time, would sales not go down, forcing them to be a little more on the ball? Just wondering.
I know that doesn't work with the gas price issue, because everyone HAS to have it. However, this is not the case with FTA. People could live without buying receivers for a month or two.
