Hey all, I was wondering, I have VS Platinum and it seems to go out to often lately. I read about new stuff that DN came up with, don't get it but I see the effect. Which box is getting less knocked out? Is Sonicview better than VS? Thx for all your reply.

I like vs, but they had their day only once, that was after the 3 month blackout. Now they are one of the slowest to come out. I love the boxes, and know they WILL come out with a file. I dont mind the wait as long as I dont miss a big fight or something, but even then... what can u expect for free?? If i were to get another box, it would be a cw, they have about the best support i have seen over the last few months.

Don't buy anything until these coders can figure out a long term solution. I fell like Dick and B3V will be coming out with more and more MECM's and more often. If we're down 3 or 4 days a week, then that is not a solution and they win! So I recomend to wait to see what happens in the next month or 2 before shucking out big bucks for something that may not work but 2 or 3 days a week if that.

I've had 2 Viewsat Extremes burn up on me (I'm not a fan of smelling burnt electronics).

I loved C00lsat, but their support now sucks.

Looks like I will have to investigate Captive Works or Sonicview. Seems like more people like Sonicview though.

From Royce:
FTA receiver questions // 2008-02-11
I have received fair amount of emails asking who has the best FTA support.
I really can not answer that question personally because my experience is based on my readers feedback, it use to be Dreambox, C@@lsat, Viewsat and Sonicview in the past but with all the new feedback coming in tells me that C@@lsat is really suffering with lack of support and rest of the guys are doing OK, it looks like Nfusion (with their IKS system), Dreambox, Sonicview, CaptiveWorks, Viewsat are taking care of their business, Pansat has picked up the slack and few of the new comers have been doing well also.
This is what I have gathered from all your feedback... thank you.
