118.7 from 119.......

ok so i want to get 118 using 119 for my ultra so i followed the steps and everything.....but still no channels... Setting up the Antenna Settings:

Go to Menu, Installation, Antenna Setup

Setup for Echo 9 -121W
LNB Type: Standard
LNB Freq: 10750
****
TP Freq: 11715


Now you will not see TP freq: 11715. In order for the Receiver to find all Available TP freq for 118.7, make certain you Auto TP is ON.

Then do this:

Preparing the TP Frequecies for Echo 9 -121W:

Go to Menu
Channel Scan
Select EchoStar 9
Scroll down to Edit TP> OK

Now scroll thru the window and delete all the TP Freqs by pressing the [F3] Delete TP button.

Then, while in this window:

Press F1 for Add User TP

Enter:

TP freQ: 11715...S/R: 20000...Pol: V...FEC: 7/8

Exit and then Save.


Now go to Auto Scan:

Auto Scanning all available TP Freqs and Channels from 118.7 (121W):

Echo 9 should be selected, Scroll down and start Scan.

You should now have over 123 Channels if your dish is 24" or larger.


still not getting any thing........what is the special lnb.....for 118

why 121..
smart...
it should be 118.8....
on sat name mine says 118.8....
its called anik 118.8....
just move your lnb a bit and u will get better signal if you don't wanna get 119..
i scanned 118.8 and i got few channels but no geo agg..

nooo sada for viesat its 121.....all the setting is on 121 thats what the viewsat coders did

i get 84 channels not sure......im not getting any then on the setting but when i scan it gives channels but r from 119.....or 148.... i think i need some kind of new lnb if soo which one????

ok first of all channels that are you getting are they are from dish 118,8,,,
go to any one of the channels and press info ... it wil give you dish name ...119 or 118.8..

thats what happend with me.. i scan the dish and it gaves me 50 channels...
but now if you are getting 118.8 why don't u do an advance scan.. put tp.pol etc..

i need the tp for aag to geo so i can check but i dont think soo i need this special LBN

I did mine with 121, not 119 nor create a new sat.
set freq 10750 (some said 10600) and add tp 11715.

you may want to adjust antenna a little, after you add the tp and if you don't see any signal/quality you will not get much channels.

If you the good LNB you just blind scan on 119W.I have a motor and fortec100 and i have created a new satellite 118.7 and blind scan.Work fine
