First of all do I really need to install the drivers ? do you know any adapter which will work with vista ? Thx |

Most of the drivers that are included on CD with the adapters don't work worth crap in XP and even worse in Vista. I have the correct drivers for XP downloaded from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm But I don't think they have them for Vista yet (check they are suppose to release soon) |

Silver Member Username: DimwittPost Number: 393 Registered: Aug-06 | Ariza 700, what worked was: using the installation disk that came with usb to serial cable ("cables to go" brand) and the cable was assigned com port 4.(selected port 4 on loader) connected usb and null together and started the download. *not saying com port 4 is where your usb cable is at. |

New member Username: FatroyPost Number: 4 Registered: Nov-07 | i got a new captive work 600 s premium i downloade all the software needed and i put in the new bin 1.72 everything was done properly and i blind scanned the echo 3 (61.5 w) channels which it downloaded good.But when i play the channel it says "scrambled channel" what can it be.I had a pansat and i downloaded the bins all the time.But with this box i must be forgetting something can any one help please? |

Gold Member Username: BrucesterPost Number: 1181 Registered: Jul-06 | johnny i have only one nick and it is hard to help some one whan some one ask for help one guy is asking about Serial port vs USB and this othere guy loaded the file for the first time and did not enable the patch so he did get the ancer and he did post in anothere thread the same thing it is hard to help others and not get the one confused that asked the qustion first there is no time diferents in starting your own thread and talking some ones thread and if he would have started a new thread he might have got a ancer at 2am and not at 7am and i think had this guy read the how tos he would no what he needed to do all new cw after you get them out of the box and load the new bin you must then enable the patch to get tv to work |
