I can't record any channels from the satellites.
Please look at my drawing and tell me how to
wire it so i can record from cable or satellite.
Thank you very much.

Are you trying to record programs from your DMR-E Recorder or from your VCR?

I guess my first guess is since your sat is going into a Vid 1, make sure u are using the right input on the recorder.

Personally I would open the door grab a large garbage bag and put the VCR in the bag and walk to the curb.

I would also consider using the AV out from the cable box to the AV in on the vcr and get rid of some rf cables.

You can also go a/v out of recorder to a/v in on the vcr and than a/v out of vcr to the a/v in on the tv.

Thanks Dave I will try you way.
Why can I just use coaxial cable?
Do I get a better picture and sound
with these RCA cables?

just go directly from the sat box to the vcr using rca composite cables, going threw other box's means you may have to setup certian settings on it to output to wat you want, this way your garenteed it works, also try stay away from tuner RF cables, they are almost obsolete now, even know there easyer to use, they look like crap, go with V/A RCA Composite cables for best recording quality.
