PIP require 2 separate tuners
Any 2 tuners
Cable Box or Satellite is one tuner
If yo got cable straight from the yo can split it and use it as a second tuner

Other method if yo got digital cable box that may have PIP with 2 tuners built in

Michael
I see yo are from the UK
I'm not familiar with Sky UK packages
But I can help yo if yo answer few questions

(yes/no) answers please
- Do yo have all 3 packages by sky (broadband, TV, Phone?)
- Do yo have a digital cable box?
- If got digital box...does it have PIP?
- Can your TV work with cable straight to TV without digital cable box?
- Is your TV capable of PIP?
- Do yo have 2 coax cables or just 1 to your TV?

I can give yo complete sketch diagram easy to follow if yo answer (yes or no) to my questions

Michael based on the information yo provided and based on PIP requirments:
- PIP must have 2 tuners
- Yo can use coax cable directly to TV as tuner#1
- But since yo need a second tuner I don't know if sky box has RCA out (Yellow/Red/White)
If it does then that will be your second input tuner#2

Let me know if this works for yo:
Good luck

Yo can use S-video instead of yellow
Keep in mind
S-Video is just video plus (red and white for audio)
Audio can also be fiber optic (1-wire L/R) if no RCA

In any case
PIP requires 2 tuners
OTA Antenna or basic cable out of the wall can go straight to TV this will be one of 2 tuners the second is the additional box

Yo can also use VCR or DVR as a second tuner if yo got one

- Most Motorala DVR boxes got PIP give me the xact model and I'll let yo know

- Your TV also has PIP
Just connect cable (coax) directly to your TV this will make tuner #1
- Plus out of your box to a second input of your TV this make it tuner #2
- If yo don't have digital box use a splitter one to each input

Yo need 2 inputs to make 2 tuners
2 tuners is what's required to make PIP

my dvr (DCH3416) does have pip as shown on the remote.
So my box does not have to be connected to the cable (from the wall?)
i'm new at this...

I'm not sure which remote yo got
Maybe yo can tell me
There is a small button below (*) key
should say: ON-OFF
- Press it (yo should see extra small screen)
- Use Ch+ or Ch- (next to same small button)
- Yo may use small key SWAP option

Let me know if that helps
