New member Username: SilvermirPost Number: 2 Registered: Dec-07 | Hi, ive been lurking on ecoutstics for a while but today i finally decided to make an account Ill get straight to the point... i need some help... =( i think i screwed up my reciever I did a factory default, edited my satelite settings back to normal and did a blind scan It found all my channels, but when i exit the menu to watch tv, nothing shows up All i see is searching for signal =( I have echostar 3 61.5 and echostar 7 119 thnx |

Post Number: 2566 Registered: Sep-06 | factory reset clears all channel data and antenna settings make sure you got all settings back correct....now we are getting some frezzing on DN today just for a few seconds usually here then its ok why did you do a factory reset? what is you set up? lnb's, switches all that |

New member Username: SilvermirPost Number: 4 Registered: Dec-07 | did a factory reset cause the new bin frigged up my channels most of my channels on 61.5 were either gone or with rly rly low signal strength not my settings: 61.5: LNB Power - on LNB Type - Standard LNB Freq. - 11250 22 KHz - off tp freq. - 12297 DisEqc - Port 1 Motor - off Legacy SW - none 119: LNB Power - on LNB Type - Standard LNB Freq. - 11250 22 KHz - off tp freq. - 12224 DisEqc - Port 2 Motor - off Legacy SW - none These are the settings i copied down b4 defaulting it |

Post Number: 2568 Registered: Sep-06 | stop stop paul is very wrong your receiver has lost data in the satfile it is missing transponders if you blind scan the receiver will replace them. Post Number: 2569 Registered: Sep-06 | Paul, we have had reports all over the forums that viewsats are losing channels due to losing data (transponders)in the the satfile. the only way to fix is eather blind scan if you receiver has that option or get a new satfile and upload it to the receiver. I am sure you have seen in forums that blind scan is just for the FTA sat's that is only true if IF your receiver has a satfile with each transponder for each sat. With these receivers losing data that would not be the case. Futhermore blind scan is always the very best way to scan a sat and get every channel you can receive. |

New member Username: SilvermirPost Number: 10 Registered: Dec-07 | k it seems i got most of my channels up... the only ones that i frequently view that i noticed i cant watch are 596, 597, and 615 (aka the portuguese / brazilian channels) for these 3 i get autorolling, but for my other channels, theyre up... even PPV is up so wats wrong this time? O_O thnx for your patience Tester and satgrl, what do u mean silver Dishnet? |

Post Number: 2588 Registered: Sep-06 | ok we have had that problem before with the platinums as well. seems like a channel will cause it to reboot and sometimes lose all data...or when you are trying to delete a channel. we had to rescan the sat, make a note of the "bad" channel somehow...then use OSD EDIT avalable here [link removed] to delete the channel useing a computer instead of the receiver. you upload the channel list to the computer useing the serial cord and loader program |
