do not do a factory reset and rescan it would be a huge wast of time....that would take me 3 hours! I have 17 sat's Rescanning for channels has nothing to do with keys

just turn off autoroll, enter current keys, watch tv, have a nice day

It will still freeze if you do that. Doesn't matter what you do it will until there is a new bin out. It will fix itself in a min or so, so the freezing is no big deal. At least it's something.

Have a merry xmas

Thanks I'll take a look.

Can someone confirm it's a safe site..no viruses? Just weird that no one else would have the freeze fix. There's probably 4 or 5 sites I'm a member too and none of them have a newer fix then the one from a couple days ago.

My Viewsat extreme was freezing every once in a while for a couple of minutes. I did factory default and rescanned all channels and that fixed the freezing issue. My viewsat is no freezing. Nada. Freeze free.

I have tried the same thing, but when I auto scan I am not getting channels on t/p 12224 or 12239. I had them before . Why am I not getting them now on rescan? Please help.

VSXtreme suffers from channel freezing using the most recent bin 12-22-07. I did every suggested solution to the problem but still freezes. Probably we need a new bin to solve this problem as it happened in the past. I also take the opportunity to thank the coders for their marvilous job.

Thanks for the advice. I set t/p on echo 7 at 12239 and re-scanned after reloading files and it worked like a charm.
