Dear FTAers, recently my stb has started displaying vertical and horizontal lines like a grid sometimes with green blobs making it impossible to watch tv. I switched the box off in the back and left it alone for a few hours. After turning it back on the picture was normal but after a few minutes the problem came back. I imagine there is something getting hot but I don't know where to begin. Has anyone had the same issue? Thanks in advance.
you should....also try and see if your RCA cord is bad..( change it with a new one)...same thing happened to me I was thinking man my receiver is going retarded but it was a bad cord!
Tried it to no avail, althought the coax to the tv from the box is rg59 and the sat to the box is rg6. It came clear but after a few minutes the grid and spots are back.
