Yes, I was reading and found that Dishnetwork is testing their new channel encryption method using the MPEG4 conditional access encryption. They've added some testing channels on dish 148 that running under the MPEG4 encryption. There's a 50% chance that Dishnetwork will change their encryption from Nagravision 2 to MPEG4 which can be hard for the FTA coders to crack. Just like the Canadian satellite provider, STAR CHOICE, uses this special type of encryption where you need some Motorolla receiver in order to watch TV. They don't use any cards or softwares. Yo don't need to read anywhere It is true They are using 2 different encryption methodes on 61.5 and 148 This will be the first to secure 100% Not with these recent ECMs With something else Coders will move to much easier targets Star*choice and Hits both in digicypher There is a hack for C-band for video SD channels No future for HD PTA Even DTV securing to 19GHz high frequency Can take several years to test Dave is many steps ahead Very much ahead of his time To those who don't understand what I wrote Save my post...yo'll get it later That is a promise Also I don't know if yo noticed Nagra's ECM is on weekdays Coder's Fix on weekend They both got open cards DN applies Nagra's mods Nagra works Mon-Fri DN does'nt send ECM weekends only morphs To make the story short This fix is good to Tues assuming no morphs on Weekends} |

Post Number: 1 Registered: Dec-07 | I would not be overly worried because I agree that if the providers do eventually secure their shop (which I do not think can happen without a swap) I am certain that exploits of other providers will pop up. The providers that are currently being targeted has let this game get out of control. Their decision to passively prod the PTA community into a slow burn like they are attempting to do now will do nothing to win the war. This game caught on in the Dave days and has exploded during the last 6-7 years. The advent of FTA receivers has lowered the barriers to entry for many individuals by reducing both knowlegde and set-up costs. Now we have a generation of individuals with equipment, knowledge of the basics and an avid interest in the hobby. During the summer of MAP57, when indeed the sky could have fallen, no one ran for cover. Many of the players stuck around and even the end users kept coming to forums like this, checking, waiting and understably voicing their frustrations. It is because of this continued interest in the community that manufacturers can make business cases for continued equipment and support, knowing that their is a market alive and willing to "subsribe" :P to a solution. So I believe that the boom in this community for the last 6-7 years will keep much of the players alive even if the sky one day falls on current exploits, I do not think anyone will run for cover..the players will be here because the community will be here..waiting and taking out our frustrations on forums like these..until the target in line is found. |
