It is my understanding that you use those cards with older DN receivers. You have to have hardware to write to the cards as welll. Kinda a expensive ((the cards can be looped so you have to replace them often at $100-200)), lots of reading and learning how to do way of testing..
For the same Money as first time set up with the card I went with a complete FTA set up dish, motor, and circular, liner LNB and have NEVER had all channels OFF and never had to spend another dime.. My international channels work ALL the TIME...
