I think I got all the equipment to start recieving channels on 118. The question is how to point the sat? At what elevation and angle? With your help, will I be able to view the Int'l channels with our current code or I should wait for the new FIX?I guess I will be able now to view both satellites (118.7 and 119)?
Ok I have 90 cm dish, with LNB ( i think the two types, since I used it for other sat.). I have other equipment ( cables, recievers..etc) unchanged. It is more of a matter of properly pointing the sat to 118-119.
is the LNB liner ? must be for 118 not circular like for 119-110-148?
go to http://www.dishpointer.com/ and play with changing the map to your house and change it to the sat you are trying to find for help pointing its great...
There is also a Universal LNB for 119/118.7 specially designed to give both Echo 7 and Anik. THE FTA TESTER probably has a better handle on how to install that.
There is only one type made and only one type that will work for Anik F3 @118. Invacom QPH-031 or a Linear LNB will NOT work I repeat will NOT work on 118.
This is for special LNBs for 118.8W (Anik F3) and 119W LNB - Circular DSS 10750 & 11250
Great discussion guys. Although, a little of contradiction that needs further clarification, which may be best done by someone who tried and work on either of the LNBs.
FTA TESTER sounds confident. Did you try it your self?
Now, will the LNB used for 121 work for 118? I don't know if it is linear of circular.
