Im thinking about the Kenwood DVt-505 Dvd home theater system. It is $600. Does anyone use it, or know of its quality? Thanks- ANDY

One thing I know is that I would not pay $600 for it. Here are some cheaper prices. Of course, it all depends on how you feel about ordering it from some little known company online, versus a local store.
It might be cheaper elsewhere as well.

Thanks a bunch, I looked all over for lower prices other than crutchfield and coudn't find any. Does anyone know about this unit, and its quality? Thanks.

I have a Kenwood VR505; is that the reciever used in the system? I wouldnt recommend it. It has no bass unless you plan on using a subwoofer. The frequency response is 40-20k. Otherwise, it is a good reciever; the surround effects are great-Dolby Digital, DTS, and it has lots of options. Sounds OK if you use a subwoofer with it. Try to find a receiver with a 20-20k frequency response for decent sound.
