I'm planning to buy the pioneer dv45a, buy can someone please tell me whether it is worth the money to go for the 47ai.

Dante, If you have a midlevel system the 45a is perfect. It can be had for under $400 from a mail order place. I have one with a 45tx Elite receiver and Monitor Audio speakers and it's great. If you have a more upscale system the 47ai is the way to go. See Home Theatre magazine website from I think Feb of this year for a review of the 45a and it compares it to the 47ai. The 45a received their "hot ticket" distintion and I think that is well deserved considering it's price and performance.
