I am going to buy SV 8000HD receiver and change my dish to 1000.2 dish net pro in order to watch HD channels.
- Do I need any other additional equipment? - Do I need to make any additional enhancement to SV 8000HD receiver other than flash with latest bins? - Is SV 8000 HD is he best choice?
Before yo buy any HD receiver make sure yo inquire about 8PSK module for its MPEG-4 to get DN HD DVB. 8PSK usually around $250 plus $400 for the receiver. Yo don't need 8PSK for BEV at present time but that can change??? for they are using 720p MPEG-2 which is the lowest quality HD toay.
I would say if yo wait to March or April 2008 yo can get all hardware plus PVR option for perhaps less than what is offered today. These units are still inferior devices. But the choice is always yours whether if yo want afford it or not.
