The way i use satellite finder.. set the intial level to middle and as dish is turned it peaks sound with high pitch. Stop put the level back to 5 and try minute adjustments to get again peak sound..the remove sat finder and scan using receiver..then do final tweak
Sometimes i get high pitch sound no matter what wherever i move the dish..

Whenever you have a high pitch you just need to reduce the gain until the pitch subsides. Then try moving the dish again until the needle moves higher or the pitch sounds again. Keep repeating.
