Here's our scenario. We're college students all living in the same apt. complex. One group of us have Digital cable with HD. And the other have HSI and basic cable with no STB because our tv has a built in tuner. Our question is, can we get a DVR added to the Digital cable account, and hook it up at the other Basic location which is just down the hall? This is in hopes on only getting the DVR functionality, not thinking we're going to get the other channels. We just want the DVR and don't want to pay the extra $$$ to add digital. Is this possible? And if so, will comcast be able to tell its being used on a different account?
We're college students and just want to be able to watch shows that are on at the same time. Please don't lecture us about stealing and the whole "I want a Mercedes but can't afford one so I'll go steal my neighbors..."
Its more like...my neighbor has a mercedes, but he said i can borrow it if i pay for the cost of getting a spare key.
