Ok. Don't jump on me just yet. Let me ask this first. When you first convert your pansat 2500a clone receiver into the 2700 you use the X-87BL_070904_B75_209_api Right? Or is that the bin you put in once it's already converted? If that is the one I use to convert it, what is the name of the bin I use? I see two that my husband had downloaded. There is the j27_205_1 jvvh_208_1
Hope this helps: 1. Open/Run the Blacklist updater included 2. Make sure BIN is Selected 3. Click select BIN 4. Choose j27_205_1.bin 5. Reboot reciever, on first light/dash, Click write bin. let it write When it is done, Be PATIENT>> let it reboot after 2 minutes you will see B-75 FlashING on display 6. NOW WRITE THE SECOND BIN....Click select BIN 7. Choose jvvh_208_1.bin 8. Reboot reciever on first light Click write bin. let it write. let it reboot after 1 minute you will see B-75 Flash on display of reciever. 9. now Rewrite your Channel list back(if applicable) , BUT! , remember you must now select the 2700 settings in Channel master. 10. reconnect to Tv, select default key from parental options(key menu) let it roll
Yes put that on after you complete the instructions above (the 208 is an old bin) so you can actually just do the j27_205 and then for step #7 use the X-87BL_070904_B75_209_api bin you are asking about
Ok, is there anything I need to do before I try to convert it to the 2700? The receiver I am using is new. Just bought out of the store a few hours ago. Everytime I click on write bin, it says Failed
When the receiver turns on it runs lights across the display - you need to write the bin right when the first light goes off - it may take a bunch of tries but it will work
dsstester is the best place because you don't have to join (I think) but you can get them from almost anywhere. Try dxxrookie...com (xx=ss)or FTA-Newbies... com.
Most sites are too busy around this time but you can try during off peak hours.
Is there any benefit if I convert my 2500 clone to 2700 clone? I would have to enter the keys myself when it goes out, right? But, if it means that I don't have to enter the keys when it goes out, then it's worth it to change my receiver from 2500 to 2700.

If you are having diffuculty getting the right sat settings after coverting it to a 2700 do the following. Do a factory reset. I converted my fortec to a 2700 but when I went to setup I only had the 110 and 119 (121 was missing)and I could not find any quality on these signals. I did a factory reset and blind scanned the satellites and everthing works great. I even got 121 back. I was a little hesitatnt in coverting my fortec, but I am happy that I did it. It works great. I would recommended to others who may think of doing this.
Ok, I followed the steps, scanned echo7/3, and went to parental control and hit default keys, then exit, exit. It says wait for pic, i read on that u have to let it go until it goes to 1000%? should enter the latest keys and turn off autoroll?
One other thing: If you discover that you did not get all the channels when you scanned, it's always a good idea to do a Factory Default and reboot the box after conversion before running a BLIND scan of your sats.
jwh_208bin is only if you view DN and 209 is bev? I'm also not getting espn (ch 140). There's a thread with other ppl having the same prob. So, this autoroll fix file, what is it supposed to do? One more thing, when I turn off my receiver via remote and leave it off for like 10-20mins, when I turn it back on b-75 scrolls across the screen it says "on" but on the t.v. screen epg load screen doesn't pop up. I have to turn off the receiver from the back and turn it on again. the receiver freezes.
