Problem with my Denon DVD-900

Anonymous
I have had my Denon DVD-900 for about 6 months. I recently tried to watch a DVD when I encountered a problem. I insert the DVD into the tray and close the tray. The DVD begins loading, but keeps loading for a few minutes until it gives me an error message, and tells me to eject the disc.

The error says that the "playback feature on the disc may not be available".

Now it does this with all my DVDs--in other words I can't watch anything. The same thing happens when I tried an audio CD as a test.

The problem originated when the DVD paused during play. I think it was stuck on a scratch or something (DVD was a rental).

I am going to take it in for warranty, but has anyone had a similar problem, or know of a similar problem?

Thanks

Anon,

it sounds like you have a bunk dvd-900 with the same problems that mine had. There sure seems to be alot of problems with these players. Playback problems, subtitle problems...hmmm...too bad..when they do work, the audio/video quality is outstanding! I had a similar problem and Denon said they had a fix for it, so I took it in and 2 days later it was good as new. No more problems. Take it in for warranty repair.
