Does RG-6 cable loose efficiency if it is used longer than 60 ft? What is a good price per ft?Upload

RG6 is usually good for at least 100 ft ...its the best....price, I dunno, I forget...check at the local hardware store or Home depot maybe..

A $1.60 a ft ! Damn I get a hundred ft roll $9.oo retail most places.But thats a good deal Zulu .Bulk wholesale price ,Plus clearance or something.

Ended up where I got 1350 ft for $20 USD, 350 ft of it is quad shield. The guy does commercial installs and has to much stuff lying around.

At Home Depot all day long, RG-6/U Coaial Cable
sells for $99.80 per 1,000 foot reel.
Parts Express sells for $72.88 per 1,000 foot reel.

You got a dealio, zulu! I usually pay around $50 CAD plus tax/ship for 1000 ft.

For long runs, yes, the longer you go the more loss, but just as important as length is the quality of the cable--dual/tri/quad shield and % braid, and you'll see "swept to X Ghz", but it's not always all practically meaningful. When in doubt, choose a good brand. Belden is an excellent cable choice.

I have about a 150' run to diseqc, and on two LNBs there is about another 20' after that. Using Legacy LNBs, and no problems. (Although I wouldn't use a Legacy twin at that range, the SW voltage pulse wouldn't make it for switching).
