I am wanting to setup a motorized dish, and my question is which one is better. I have had a c band dish in the past and enjoyed it due to the fact of receiving live news feeds. And was currently using ku band. What are the advantages of C band over Ku, except for rain interference and signal quality. Will i receive any more Channels?

Best is to have a c/ku feed setup on the big dish, 10' dish works great, with C-band you can access the main distribution feeds of many channels, you can subscribe to them with a 4dtv, the picture and sound quality blow away anything the small dish providers put up there.

With dvb (fta) there are many free feeds on both c/ku, it is fun for some to go feed hunting, to others they just program in a few channels that are 24/7 and leave it at that.

I have had a big dish for over 20 years, still the best system out there, for me anyway.
