My Pansat 3500Sd died, so I got Viewsat Ultra.
Basically I hooked it up according to the manuel and almost the same way as Pansat.
I did not have a problem acuring a signal or quality with Pansat.
With Viewsat I cannot get a steady sgnal nor a quality. These are the settings I am using
Dish Standard
LNB 11250
Disc 3
TP I am searching and cannot figure out
what it is for 65.1 channel.
Please help as to what I may be doing wrong.
Thanks

Use the switch included with your VSAT instead of the one that you had with the Pansat, also check for any problem with the connectors and cables...thighten all of the connections and connectors

I have already done that.
Could it be the cable wire itself from the dish?

set like this
set all lnb power off (each one)
set only one lnb power on and its port.
(61.5, if you connect 61.5 dish angle with port1)
port1 and lnb power on and select echo star 3
save

I hope it will help you

Hi, I have done exactly as both of you have said by putting in the switch provided by viewsat and golly the signal was steady, however the quality still jumps around.I also did as pizza said and with that I am getting a signal strength of 66 but the quality is jumping around.
What else can I tweak to get a better quality as well as the signal.
Thanks agaian.
